Born and raised in Guardhaven. Culgan was forced into becoming a Temple Knight by his father, Rufus. All his life he was molded and shaped into what his father wanted him to be, despite his ambitions to become an adventurer. Finaly, after his mother's death, Culgan was feed up. He slashed out at his father, mortaly wounding him. The Temple Knights tried him for murder, despite the fact that Culgan did not intend to kill his father. Culgan fled before sentencing could be handed out. He fled to Rivas where no Temple Knight would venture after him. He is now serving as a Liutenant of "The Knights of Doom" under Solon Jhee.
